In writing, on every quote

The Paperwork

Licensed, insured & warrantied

Three words every contractor website says. Here is what each one actually covers on your project, how to verify them — for us and for anyone else quoting your floor — and where the documents live.

Licensed & registered

Registered Idaho contractor

  • Registered to contract in Idaho, with registration details shown on every written quote
  • Verify any Idaho contractor free at the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses — we encourage it, for us and for every bid you collect
  • Out-of-state projects in Wyoming and Montana are quoted with the applicable registration spelled out first

Insured

General liability coverage on every job

  • General liability insurance covers your property while we work — certificate of insurance available with your quote, before work starts
  • If a bid you are comparing cannot produce a COI on request, that is your answer about the bid
  • Coverage details and limits are stated on the paperwork, not recited from memory on a website

Warrantied

A written workmanship warranty, plus the manufacturer spec

  • Every installed system carries a written workmanship warranty — what is covered and for how long is on the quote in plain language
  • You also get the manufacturer product specification for the exact system installed — coverage rates, chemical resistance, care
  • The warranty has a local phone number behind it: the crew that installed the floor answers for it

Why bother checking any of this?

  • Hot-tire peeling, the most common coating failure, is a prep failure — a warranty only means something from a company that grinds
  • An uninsured crew on your property is your homeowners policy taking the risk instead of theirs
  • Coating warranties vary wildly — some franchises exclude the exact failures that actually happen; read what is covered, not how long
  • The paperwork takes minutes to check and filters out most of the bids that would have gone wrong

The materials themselves carry their own documentation — coverage rates, chemical resistance and cure windows are on the materials and system specification page, straight from the manufacturer.
