Older Boise housing — the North End especially — often has detached garages on thin, cracked, sometimes un-reinforced slabs. Those need honest assessment first. We will cut and fill cracks, but if the slab is actively moving we will say so rather than coat over a problem and let you find out later.

Epoxy flooring in Boise
Boise is a normal service area for us, about thirty-five minutes from the shop. It is also the most crowded market in the valley for floor coatings, so the only thing worth saying is what we actually do differently: we grind, we test the slab for moisture, and we tell you when a floor is not a good candidate.

Local Conditions
Two very different kinds of Boise floor
Newer west and southeast Boise construction is the opposite: sound, flat, never-sealed slabs that are ideal candidates. Coating before the floor has years of oil in it means less prep and a better bond.
Foothills properties get more sun on the garage opening than people expect, and unprotected epoxy ambers in UV. Anywhere the floor sees daylight we spec a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat over it.
Scheduling around the weather
These coatings need the slab to hold between 50°F and 90°F while they cure. In Boise that means heated interior work runs year round, while unheated garages, shops and exterior concrete have a real season. Booking ahead is the difference between getting the floor you want and waiting for spring. See the full system specification.

Questions
Boise questions we get asked.
There are a lot of epoxy companies in Boise. What is different here?
Honestly, mostly the prep and the honesty. We grind rather than acid-etch, we moisture-test the slab before quoting a coating, and we publish the actual system specification on this site so you can check what is going on your floor.
My detached garage floor is cracked. Can it be coated?
Often yes — cracks get cut out and filled first. But patching is a repair, not a guarantee: if the slab keeps moving, the coating over that crack can crack too. We would rather tell you that up front.
Do you do basements and patios in Boise, or only garages?
All of it. Basements, patios, shop floors and commercial slabs. Note that the flake system we use most is rated for interior use, so exterior work gets a different specification.
