Pricing & Value
We price every floor from a free in-person walkthrough rather than publishing numbers — square footage, slab condition, moisture and the system you choose all set the quote. The cost guide explains what moves the number, and every written quote is free, itemized and exact.
For a garage that gets used — yes. It ends concrete dusting, wipes clean of oil and road salt, survives hot tires, brightens the space, and outlasts paint by a decade or more. The exceptions are under-specced floors installed without real prep, which is a contractor problem rather than an epoxy problem.
Yes — walkthrough, moisture check and written itemized quote, no charge and no obligation, anywhere in our normal Treasure Valley service area. Out-of-area projects are quoted around scheduled trips.
Every installed system carries a written workmanship warranty, on top of the manufacturer product spec we hand over with the floor. What is covered and for how long is spelled out on the quote — in writing, before you commit.
The Floor Itself
A full-flake floor has real texture and grips better than sealed bare concrete, wet or dry. Gloss solid-color floors are smoother, and for entries, exterior slabs and pool decks we broadcast additional grip additive into the topcoat — traction is specified per surface, not left to luck.
A properly ground, properly built residential system is a decade-scale floor — often much longer with a maintenance recoat when the wear surface finally dulls. The floors that fail in a year or two are the ones installed over unprepped or damp concrete.
Almost always. Cracks are routed and filled, spalls patched, and control joints honoured so the slab can still move. If cracking points at settling or a structural issue, we say so at the walkthrough instead of coating over it.
Hot-tire delamination is the signature failure of paint-on and acid-etched coatings. Diamond-ground prep bonds the system into the slab, and the topcoats we install are specifically rated for hot-tire pickup — it is the first abuse test a garage system has to pass.
A ground-in epoxy or hybrid system with a polyaspartic topcoat. Sealed concrete gives road salt and mag chloride nothing to soak into, the topcoat shrugs off freeze-thaw tracked in on the car, and polyaspartic chemistry extends the install season on cold slabs — which matters in Idaho.
Scheduling & Process
Most residential garages are ground, repaired, coated and sealed in a single day on site. Foot traffic at 48 hours, vehicles at 72 — the wait after install day is cure time, not work time.
Concrete can wick ground moisture up from below, and enough of it will lift any coating. We check moisture as part of the walkthrough — especially on basements and below-grade slabs — and spec a vapor-tolerant primer when readings call for it. It is the step DIY kits and cheap bids skip.
Yes, and new construction is ideal — the slab has no stains or old coatings to fight. The one hard requirement is that new concrete has cured at least 28 days before coating.
The slab needs to hold between 50°F and 90°F while the system cures. Heated interior work runs year-round; unheated garages, shops and exterior concrete have a real season, and polyaspartic topcoats stretch it at both ends. Booking ahead beats waiting for spring.
