Down in the valleys the issue is de-icer and hot tires. Up in McCall, Sun Valley or the Panhandle it is freeze-thaw: water gets into unsealed concrete, freezes, expands, and takes the surface apart a layer at a time.

Idaho concrete has two different problems
Mountain properties also get far more UV than people expect at altitude, which is why we spec a polyaspartic topcoat rather than bare epoxy anywhere the floor sees daylight — it holds its colour instead of ambering.
Snowmobile and side-by-side trailers mean studs, gravel and road chemical dragged across the floor all winter. That is an abrasion problem, and it is solved with proper concrete prep and film thickness, not a thicker single coat.
Scheduling around the weather
These coatings need the slab to hold between 50°F and 90°F while they cure. In Idaho that means heated interior work runs year round, while unheated garages, shops and exterior concrete have a real season. Do you really travel to north Idaho?
For scheduled work, yes — Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint are a long haul from Caldwell, so those go on the calendar as trips rather than next-week appointments. Get in touch and we will tell you honestly when we can be there.
Is there a time of year you cannot coat?
The coatings need the slab between 50°F and 90°F to cure properly, so deep winter is out for unheated garages and outbuildings. Heated interior work runs year round. In the mountains that shortens the exterior season considerably — book early.
What about a cabin or shop with no power?
We can work off a generator; tell us up front so we bring it. Grinding a floor takes real power, so this is worth sorting out before the day.
