What valley conditions do to a garage slab
Valley summers run well over 90°F on a closed garage slab, which is exactly when hot tires lift a cheap paint-on coating. A properly ground and sealed floor does not pick up tire marks.
A lot of valley housing stock is newer construction on slabs that were never sealed. Coating early, before the concrete has years of oil and stain in it, makes for a better floor and less prep.
Scheduling around the weather
These coatings need the slab to hold between 50°F and 90°F while they cure. In the Treasure Valley that means heated interior work runs year round, while unheated garages, shops and exterior concrete have a real season. Do you charge for travel in the Treasure Valley?
No. Caldwell, Nampa, Middleton, Star, Meridian, Eagle, Kuna and Boise are all normal service area for us — the quote is the quote.
How long will my garage be out of use?
Plan on staying off it for 48 hours, and keep vehicles off for 72. We can usually grind, coat and be out in a day on a standard two- or three-car garage; the wait after that is cure time, not work time.
Can you coat a brand-new garage before we move in?
That is the ideal case, and we do a lot of it on new builds. The one hard requirement is that the concrete has cured at least 28 days.
